Hi, Just wanted to let everyone know I am bidding on a shim set and tool on ebay... I plan (if I win) to set up a sort of trading deal for everyone so people can get shims they need for only the shipping cost...

I saw that item, hopefully that other person won't bid anymore against you, but after seeing your 1000 plus points value, looks like you're quite the Ebayer afterall. I've only got "5"

Hope you win them, I've got my basket case machine that I'm pretty sure will be needing some, along with possibly my Godzilla, that I need to check after 4 years, but only a few thousand miles, so hopefully it won't need any changes!

That tool is not the Motion Pro style one, I think I saw someone post a message about that tool here on the FORUM, kinda tricky to use it!

yeah, I am an ebay addict... I collect (of all things, and besides XS parts!) old walkmans, and have over 550 of them, from all over the world... I love ebay, it is a blast!

if I win the shims, I want to be a clearinghouse for shims, where people can go to get what they need...

Great, that idea came up when I was doing mine and newmacc brought it up I think. I was looking at it but I won't bid now. Anybody ever used that tool? Never seen that one before.

I still have one friend working at a bike dealer and I've been toying with ordering one of those sets for the past couple years. On the down side, you'd run out of the shims you need pretty quick.

I have about a dozen more shims than I need and it helps with shim swapping with the local shop that still does this.

I paid almost $100 for a shim tool like that about 20 years ago. I lost it when the box it was in was stolen from my van some years back.

If I weren't broke, I'd bid that auction up to around doubble of what it is now.
