  • cateye astrale 8 & other digital bicycle speedometers

i'm sure this has been discussed already...

but for anyone who might be interested... there are digital bicycle speedometers that can be had for around $35 US that work great on our (or any other) bikes.

various features include: odometer, tripometer, average speed, top speed, time traveled.

Even though the speedo on my special works just fine, it is really nice to have the digital as well.

It is more accurate then the factory, and on long trips it's nice to have the extra trip-o-meter. on my trip to alaska i used the mechanical one to guesstimate fuel-ups and the cateye to monitor daily travel distances.

and while in canada, it was nice to have a metric speedo/trip-o-meter. same could be said for a canadian traveling in US.

overall i think they would be a very practical add-on to any motorcycle.
