        probably around the omaha area.

everything around here is pretty flat, so i'll have to do some investigating. if anyone has any ideas i'm all ears.

Could take some back roads through farm country, down through Nebraska City, Then mabee down to Hammond Iowa. That whole area is pretty flat and out in the corn fields but there is alot of homestead history. Mabee a ride down to the missouri border town for some cheap smokes and a truckstop miky-d's burger.

Just beware of the deer near the rivers in those areas. I'll let you guys know when I'm gonna be in the area!

                I'm up for it.

Just wish I didn't have to mess with the "2nd Gear" garbage! I plan on fixing that, but not until this winter. At that point I'll tear the thing apart and clean up the whole bike, paint the fairing to match the tank and sides and all that rot, 'til then, I just bypass second gear

ok so it sounds like i would have maybe 4 XS'ers?

though it will likely be very small, i'm thinking about making this more of a 'rally'. maybe camp somewhere for an evening. the main goal is an XS11 rally, though there would likely bee some other flavors thrown in there.

i'd be willing to cook at least one night. my family has always done these "cream can" suppers - get an old (but clean) dairy cream can, fill the bottom with corn on the cob, dump in a bunch of polish sausages, potatoes, onions, etc.... then pour a six pack of beer over it all and cook it over an open fire. mmmmm good. i have never done one myself but have been looking for a good reason to.

Sounds good, I can cook a meal myself. Pretty good at breakfast stuff...

My brother-in-law is a Gold-Wing rider ('82), he might be interested if we open it up to other, non XS riders.

Depending on when you decide to do this, I might be able to make a run up that way. I'm already committed to doing the July deal in Indiana and another one in Wisconsin the week before, but another weekend run nearby wouldn't be totally out of the question. Keep me posted...
