Anyone know where I can get a Clymer manual for an '82 XJ1100???

There is/was no Clymers or Hayes manual published for the XJ. You have two options; get the Yamaha factory manual (typically $40 - $50 dependiong on your dealer's markup) or contact Rob Mills for one of his CDs. See:

Yep, I've got the CD set, just wanted the clymers if there was one. That explains why I cannot find any reference to one on the Internet as well.
