The SS is a re-badged Windjammer 4. The 5 is distinctive because of the 'shield' surrounding the headlight, but takes different lowers which can be hard to find if you want to go that route. I would look at the SS or 4 which are the most common and have the most parts/pieces/accessories available.
Problem is not finding the fairings, it is finding the mounts.....

I know,
I've got a 5 on my '79, and it has a bent mount. I've had to "shim" the fairing to keep it from cracking. I also have the old SS that has the plastic trashed. I've some spare parts, including wires and headlamp assembly.
I plan on building my own mount later, and trying to build it like the Yamaha mount. I'd like to use the center mount point for an extra brace.Ray Matteis
