  • Anyone seen cops on this?

    http://powersports.honda.com/police_cruiser/

Finally, motorcycle officers may acctually be able to catch someone on this bike. The hArDLies many ride now, Just cant see them doing as good a job as this one.

Although I still see many officers on Goldwings and Valkyries here in Houston.

Anyone seen these on the road yet?

Not sure, but cops in england have these... old models tho.
German too... with a few CBR 1100XX.
Our cops still use BMW R1150/1200RT/LT/the cop variant.
    I saw a pic of a police XS11 tho...

I have that pic of the police XS on my locker at work.
I'd like to be chased by it, as soon as he hit the lights and siren he's lose juice to the coils and the bike would die.

PLEASE NOTE: To demo ride the ST1100P, you will need to complete a loan agreement.

            Police Bikes

The police in Victoria BC have traded in their Hardlies this spring and taken delivery of 14 new ST1300's. They are gun metal grey metallic though. Not that bright white and red a shown. The color makes them really hard to spot as police. The Hardlies they used to ride were the traditional white.

Cops here in New South Wales, (Oz) have been riding ST1100's for a while now, they go well and are seriously reliable (200.000 plus miles if not flogged) trying to outrun would be fun for a few minutes. St1300's are just better again.

Until they make a bike that is faster than a bullet, I'll just pull over and hand him my license and registration...

                  Well said LoHo.
And I don't know of any bike that can outrun a radio signal either, so...

I once spent a night at our city' hotel' and it sucked! The beds were hard, the PJ's were bright orange, the food was cold, and the room service staff were a bunch of a$$#oles. I won't even mention the bathrooms...

A guy here was chased by 8 police cars, bikes, and two helicopters. Didn't catch him. He got an invitation home tho... when he appeared in court, they had bout 10 videotapes, a big album of photos and 5 kg of paperwork.
They gave him two weeks to sell the bike and pay the fine. I guess he avoided jailtime cause he didnt even notice the cops chasing him.

PS: This is the first time in years I'm riding legal. Licence and registration and stuff.... First I had neither, then I had registration, no licence, then I got my licence and registration expired, then I had a few years and bikes of the same (no reg.), now I have both. Yay! I must be getting old and... erm... responsible. I can even afford a full tank of gas. Even in my car!

Sensible or gaining respect for pain?

Isn't it amazing what the looming of fifty on the horizon does to our attitudes and behaviour.
