Figured I'd share this with everyone. I sniped this from Merriam cycle's web site. I wish I could afford to do stuff like this.

I did post the web addy in the links area. I hope to deal with them some day.

Merriam Cycle has lot of cool xs stuff.

    Like the $175 side panels.
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

Dosent cost alot of money to do that. Just alot of time and effort (which is why Bob gets a pretty penny for his custom refurbs). Cost of red paint and some polishing wheels.

Lots and lots and lots and lots of polishing on that aluminum, till you can see yourself.

The individual carb filters are fairly cheap and easy to find.

Looks like they have changed their attitude on individual air filters. When I bought the 78 it had already been modified to 4 air filters but I knew it was not set up right. I phoned them ready to buy jets, needles and air filters and I was told you could never get the bike tuned properly without going back to the airbox.
Still like that engine though, maybe I should call again and ask how the carbs are set.
I have a bike and I am not afraid to use it
