    I got the bags from an auction. They were a perfect fit. Took me hours to sand them and paint them though.

    Doc, e-mail me direct. One of these weekends I can take a ride up and we can knock the shims out.

    Bogging down after 10 minutes could be heat. I would look for a fuel restriction too. Sometimes you get back pressure in your gas tank if the vent is blocked. You can try opening the fuel filler of the tank and see if it runs better.

        Question

        What about your rear turn signals and brake light, were they already on the rear fender, or did you have to engineer something to move them there? MIne turn signals are mounted about where you bags are.

          I drilled a hole on each side of the tail light bracket and mounted them there.

          You can also buy what I would call a turn signal bar which mounts where the license plate attaches. I have one of those I bought off of e-bay which I have not yet mounted.
