This is the GOOD news? Man, I would hate to hear what the bad news was!! 400 series=BORING!!!

When is this IB taking place? I put hi-way pegs on my Kawasaki, and as long as I have a pack of some kind to lean back on, it's not too bad.. and it revs a lot higher then the XS would at that speed. I use foam grips and suffer from one or the other hand falling asleap.

I have a vista-cruise to rest my throttle hand once in a while and that seems to take care of any right-hand cramping. They're well worth the $20.

        Brian,

It is on Saturday June 11, starts in London (hwy 4 and 401) and goes to Ottawa, over to North Bay and back to London. I like riding roads like Hwy 4 from Lake Erie to Lake Huron, or 21 along the lake, better than the 402 which is immensely boring. But the 401 in the GTA tends to keep my adrenalin running, and 401 around Woodstock was ranked as the deadliest road in Canada at one time, you must be made of sterner stuff than I am. The Ottawa - North Bay and North Bay - TO legs will be nice, maybe I need to drop to 4th through there and let the motor hit the happy spot.

Actually, June 11 has IBA 1000's all over the the place thanks to the motorcycle tourers forum, there are 3 others in MI at the same time and one is starting out from Detroit. I put in the link below. These guys are planning an EXTREME EXTREME IBA called 2006 Americas Ride, as in North, Central and South America.

Check out the events on IBA, there is also a run around Lake Erie and Ontario planned for May 14-15 weekend hosted by a group out of Toronto.

If you are interested in IBA's let me know what you think of running Windsor to Laredo and back. I got hooked last year and the guy that started me on this has a new job that makes him travel on short notice so he cannot commit to anything longer than 1000 milers.
