  • New Reservior for sale

I have one of the new front M/C reserviors that won't fit on a Special, for sale. If you are interested, e mail, or PM me for details. Thanks.

      what's it look like?

      You got me Guys,
doubtless I am exposing my own ignorance here but how come it'll fit on a Standard but not on a Special? My Clymer's will hardly admit the Special exists but the photos it shows of the Standard front brake lever sure look like the one on my XS11SG.
Would someone care to post a photo link please?

Check the thread in the discussions about the reserviores and look for Ken Talbots post on the last page. There are some pics there.

          just great!

          Hi John,
thanks for the reply. I checked Ken's post.
          Gawd, the witless beggars!
Why'd they go and make 'em different on the inside and look the same from the top?
It gotta cost more to do that.
It ain't even a styling thing like the Special's weird front forks and dopey little gas tank fer Chrissake.
Makes me shake my head it does.

I find it difficult to believe that nobody wants a new reservior. When Randy first announced them, guys were falling all over themselves trying to claim one. What gives?

Well, I was going to try to get a new one. Then they were gone, so I ordered a new assembly from Partsnmore.
Yeah, it cost $78, but it will cure the problems, and I may still get the reservior for the old MC.

I think maybe there are more specials than standards,, nothing bad but just maybe.

This is the problem. I was one of the one falling all over my self, but I have a special. I am glad I didn't find one cuz I had no idea they were different either.
