Aren't they still using Pony Express in SD? (I was born there so I can make a joke...)

I think that we updated here to the mule line express. They can carry more at once at a higher cost but it will take a bit longer to reach ya. Lol...

Glad that you are happy with the patches XSives, there are 50 left, I'm sure they will sell over time.......

I think the post office in SD should replace the mules with XS riders...

              realised

Doing the math on a breakdown of costs and mailing costs as far as the patch run goes .....there is $241. USfunds in paypal account right now, $161.00 of which will cover costs for 50 of the patches ($200.00 Canadian) which leaves $80.00 US I will be able to forward to the forum site, pssibly a bit more as I have a cheque coming in the mail.......when this is sent and arrives at the forum site it will be confirmed by one of the organisers.
My thanx to all of you for your donations.
Steve, let me know when the "mules"deliver, if not I will make it right.

                $5.00

I forgot to add, one generous XSive sent me $5.00 xtra for myself! which is not included in the funds above......and I will use it to buy a small flat of rum, which I will consume while watching the latest snowstorm as it sets foot on Nova Scotia tonight and think of the summers riding season s-l-o-w-l-y approaching......

$5 for a bottle of rum?? Dayum!! Look out Bruce, I'm moving east... can't even smell the bottle cap for that here in Ontario, land of over taxation.

Good luck with the snow, you guys have been getting more then your fair share out that way. We're getting some more tonight as well.

                    Hi Brian

I think there sold for about $7.00, half-pint! The size you sneak inside your vest pocket.......

Probably worth .50 cents to produce! Ah well, gotta pay for my old age security somehow.

Patches came today Bruce. The mail handler that delivers my mail used to be an XS rider years ago. He said that he would like to buy another one but his better half won't let him as he might kill himself. LoL. I told him he should but one anyway.

                          Design

If Gary Granger or JP Honeywell read this post perhaps they can fill in the blanks........I believe that JP and another XSsive designed the "XS/XJ owners patch" a way back, as far as the history aspect goes.......my only part was to find a supplier to make a good replication of it and sell it. I remeber back in 2000 Mark Robertson had one on his jacket and the only way for me to get on was to have a few 100 made, cause none were available back then......

The small owners patch pre-dates my involement with the club. JP had them made, long ago. I think I have an original and a couple of Bruces first run patches. We would like to get the new logo on some patches but that may take a while.

                                XS/XJ Patches

                                desert1, any patches left?

I just got my '82 XJ1100 about a month ago, drove up to Minnesota from Omaha to get it. The guy was selling it for $500 and it was too good a deal to pass up. I've been slowly working on it since I got it.... Throttle cable, fuel petcock rebuilds, fuel filter, oil change, changed plugs. Now got to work on cleaning it up.

Does anyone know if the XS/XJ large patches still exist? I'd like to get one of those as well, I think they'd look good on the back of the jacket!

                                Thanks!
