I don't have an extra one. I know you hate Ebay but there is one for sale for the buy it now $ 22.00. I bought mine from the local dealer here in S.D. I will look this week for you when I go and pick up a set of mirrors for a bike I'm working on. If they have one I'll PM you. If you want it I'll pick it up and send it to you.

          Hey BossHogg,

Click on this link and D/L the PDF file, it's about 6MB, it's the 81 H/SH series owner's manual(NOT SERVICE), just be sure you have Acrobat Reader installed, and you can then view it. The 80 and 81 are just about identical, so should help you in learning what all of the components are called, where they are, etc.

          81 Owner's manual in PDF

This bike has an electonic ignition module, lovingly referred to as the Brain box, or TCI-transistorized controlled ignition module, and the solder joints have been know to go bad. So, if your machine is running, then hopefully the TCI is working properly!?

You can go to this web site:
          Yamaha Motors, online parts catalog

and click on Parts and Service menu choice, then Parts Catalog, then select Motorcycle, and 1980, and then XS1100G or SG for standard or Special, and then you can view the parts, find the ones you need, copy the parts #'s and save them in a text file for printing out later!

When I rebuilt my engine, I got clutch plates and springs from JC Whitney, they were Vesrah brand, decent, probably what PartsnMore has, but not sure? Have fun learning about your machine, and ask any question you want here!!
