Several times we (PNW XS riders) have discussed a traveling ralley. A route that makes the loop through Oregon, Washington, B.C., and Idaho. Riders could join in and leave the loop as the gang came through. A Log/Guest book would stay with the gang that riders could sign.
People could open their yards for camping and/or stay at local motels and camp grounds. Run the ralley from weekend to weekend, with a new destination each day.
It would be an interesting adventure. Anybody interested?
I'm in as long as the dates do not conflict with any important family event. Early June would be a good time before schools get out and traffic increases.
I'm committed to a rally being put on by the Canadian Biker Magazine July 8-10, 05.
Also want to keep Labour Day weekend open for the Lake Tahoe rally.

I advised Sid Clark up in Ladysmith on Vancouver Island about a possible roaming PNW Rally. These were his comments. I would decipher it as meaning in July if you/we wanted to flop in his back yard we are welcome but he will be in Europe in August.

Of course if we came to the island we could flop at my place as well.
'I am always available as a stop and use, but if it has anything to do with "planning", and I am on Holiday,......just come and use! July, I will be here, as on NA continent, but August, "over there", ! Have just come to love riding my XS as simplistic and myopic, and hate schedules! "Journeys are not about destinations or a concept called "lost", they are about individual simplistic "goings"!

Ken, thanks for the "heads-up"!
Can you post this to the list? TIA"
Not so sure about the route and weather or not I could make any of it,( I got a second gear problem) but if any planned PNW Rally, YOU GOTTA COME TO WHIDBEY ILSAND WA. Oak Harbors' "City Beach" has RV and Tent camping grounds complete with bathroom, showers and electrical and sewer hook ups. Only the RV spots have elec and sewer but it's your spot if you want to pay and set up tent. Everyone could pair up and share the cost. If anyone interested, I can find out the cost. Seems tent spot alone was pretty cheap per day? Once in WA, Whidbey Island I-5 then SR-20, the rally would see a beautiful panaramic view of the Olympic mountains, Puget Sound San Juan Islands, Comano Island, Ferry ride from KeyPort to Port Townsend or Vanvouver Island BC. Riders would need proper passport to Canada.
Can't wait to see XS11's in mass quantities!
Later XS Dogs!
