  • It's official. I'm unXSive.

    Fellow XSives -

I just waved goodbye to the last of my XS11's. At least I found them a good home. Doug Mitchell came over from New Brunswick and took away my '79 Standard, "unXSpected", and my two parts bikes ('81 Special and '79 Standard)

And, just to be fair, he also got the '85 GS550E that has attended a couple of XS rallies (Toronto '99 and New Hampshire a few years later). He tried to slip the GSX-R on to the truck, but I caught him!

I'll stay in touch with the group and try to attend the upcoming rallies in Monterrey and Reno.

    See you around...

    Bill,
...no offense, but I think you made a BIG mistake...
Fairfield, Ca is on hwy 80 b/w Sacramento and San Francisco and the traffic is THICK and *FAST* and the ONLY bike I'd ever take on it would be my XS11 - to 'keep up', get around, and move away FROM...
...take your bike on either hwy 37 or 12 when you get here for some good "riding through the hills"... I have a cousin that lives in Vacaville, and my sister use to be stationed at Travis AFB so I know the roads around there better than my hometown...
'see ya at one of the rallies - Ron

I thought the GSX-R1100 would keep up OK. Maybe not.
