    Just wanted to say HI

    Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to say hello, and introduce myself. Have had my XS for 'bout 6 yrs now. Got it from a guy who bought a 'Wing. Its an 81, thats done the Alcan, been shot, beat up, used as a getaway car for 3, yes thats 3 wrongdo'rs, (they fell thats how they got caught), used , abused, and neglected, before I got it. Now, shes dark mulberry metallic, all the aluminum has been polished, the barrels are krinkle black, and I've fabricated new floor boards. A set of new MAC pipes sends out a sweet tone. So what if I lost most of my hair finding parts. Mostly by buying parts bikes is how I've come across the parts I need. You would never know it was the same bike, if you saw before and after pics. In any case, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself, and am very interested in the northeast ride over july 4th, '05, that seems to be being planned... Blue skies, and open roads to you all..... thank you..

    Bobby

Bobby, welcome on board. This a very helpful, knowledgeable bunch. Hope we can help and that you can contribute.
If purple is your thing you have different taste then mine but diversity is what helps this world go around.
    Welcome.

      Welcome, Bobby.

You couldn't have come to a better place.

We definitely have to hook up for some riding. I'm in Stroudsburg, but keep the bike in NYC during the riding season.

        Hey there Bobby,

Welcome, and we'd love to see the BEFORE and After shots! Glad you got it pieced together so nicely! Don't these guys know that purple is the color of Royalty?!?!?!

I like you handle as well, can I assume you're in some form of law enforcement! Happy riding!

          Thanks for the warm reception....

Thank you for the welcomes, and the actual color is Dark Mulberry Metallic. A GM color. Purple is so much easier to say.. I have gotten rid of the original square light faring. It kept cracking, and I had all kinds of trouble with it. I replaced it with a vetter faring I bought for 50.00, which was absolutely perfect. No muss no fuss, enlarge a mounting hole, and it went on finer than frogs hair. So thank you very much for the warm welcome, and hopefully, I'll get to meet some of you guys soon enough.....I'll be the purple blurr....wearing a very large smile!!....
