  • I found a worm in my new oil filter

So I'm getting ready to install my new oil filter yesterday when I notice something rattling inside it. I figured it was a piece of rubber from manufacturing. I finally got the object out only to discover that it was a dead worm! I won't mention the filter manufacturer by name, since it could probably happen to anyone and I'm sure it's not a brand-specific problem.

Here's a pic of the little fella:

A worm in a Tequila bottle is common practice, Maybe Fram has moved production to Mexico. ;o)

Seriously, I've never found Fram filters to be worth a crap.

"...I've never found Fram filters to be worth a crap..."

Apparently neither did the worm... Couldn't get out of the box, though.

Try mail ordering them 3 or 4 at a time. You know you will eventually use them.

Nope it was tequila and it was well over 20 years ago before I quit drinking.

Maybe he is a new added feature for Fram filters.

Dam, all I get when I open a filter box is a filter and an "o" ring. You should feel lucky to get an added bonus. LoL

Don't be daft, and read the directions...it's their new "BioSeal" organic, earth-friendly multi-purpose O-ring. Just soak it in water, stick it in the groove, and ride away...a few miles...until the engine locks up...
