and a taller windshield at the moment.
I have read thread after thread here on the Forum about wider
rear tires. Well, got it now. 5.5" rear wheel with a 170 60 17 radial tire on it. Also, don't know how many thousand times I've tried to shift the Rat into 6th gear and not found it. Well got one now. Lost about 100 lbs of weight as well. The dry weight on a ZX 11 C3 IS 508 lbs. You can feel the difference just sitting on the bike. Actually you don't sit on it, like being perched on an XS. You sit down into it. The weight it carries seems lower down.
While cornering I can actually feel the front tire "plant" it's self
and take hold of the road. A feeling that I have never had on
    the Rat.
Doubt if I will be looking for more power any time soon. The ZX11
is supposed to do the quarter in 10.5 at 130 mph plus. Top speed is supposed to be in excess of 170 mph. I will never find out. I like my life and my license.
I think it was a great find. Very pretty and impressive bike. I will
try and post some pictures in the future of the "Temptress".

Hmmm.....nice find, I hope you have some fun and can make it fit you. Modern bikes are definately a different breed (even though 13 years old is hardly modern). Be careful, all them horses are waiting to bite you if you don't respect them. I got a new horse in my garage too a Noma Canadiana Snow Blower 10hp 33in cut. I am not sure how old it is but for $75 bucks I couldn't turn it down.
, Yours is better than mine!!

      Rode one of those for a while... well... a 1994 ZZ-R 1100.
Nice, a bit long wheelbase, should do bout 50 mpg, large gas tank, comfy sport-tourer. After a while a bit car-like. But then again, I still miss the v-twin.
I could compromise... a nice V4.... VFR maybe...

Ken, that sultry black vixen will eventually need her wanton desires satisfied with a firm and unmerciful caress of full throttle on a deserted back-country road. A 150mph blast is gonna be needed to show the temptress who her master really is! Good luck!

Sound like a nice find. Congradulations! Keep all that power under control, couse those bikes are fast. They are probably much safer than an old XS11, due to better brakes & suspension, etc.

                70 years old
                8 bikes
                passed away in his sleep

I'd settle for at least 2 of 3
I have a bike and I am not afraid to use it
