Were mostly back home with only minor injuries. Yeh everybody I'm ok, hip still hurts a little but not to bad. To bad the bike doesn't self heal. Cussed myself all the way home for my stupid mistake . Whats the old saying, There are two kinds of bikers 1) those that have been down & 2)Those that haven't gone down yet. Well I joined the former yesterday. I had a ball, wouldn't have missed it for the world, anyway here are the promised pics. http://www.msnusers.com/TeXSiveRally2004

By the way did anybody think to get pics when I or the bike was down? I know I didn't think of it. If you did let me know, I'll add them to the link

Don't feel too bad. I just crashed my car today.
Noone injured, except my pride. And the car. The other guy was pretty cool bout it too. I ramed him from behind, my bad, no ABS (on the other hand, he had ABS).
Damn... and I wasn't even speeding. And I kept my safety distance too. Kaka happens.

Dave, nice pics. Any way you could identify the guys as they are standing by their bikes? Sure wish I could have made it.
I gather that you dropped your bike? What happened? Any damage? I hope not. From what I could see, the XS's looked pretty nice. Who's was the nicest? Fastest? Who travelled the farthest?

        No Downed Bike Pics

You know, I thought about it for a split second, then I thought, what if he sees me snappin' pics and decides to get up and kick my butt?

Didn't know if I knew you that well yet. Well, I guess I do now!

I was more worried about you and your injuries, since I saw it happening, in slow motion, from my mirror.

Glad to hear you are OK.

                  I'm ready NOW!!!

                  Hey Pathfinder,

I'm ready now, this weekend, anytime. This was so kewl!!!

Stay on the Aleve, don't miss a dose, keep it built up in your system. It will work itself out. You might want to get an x-ray anyway, just to make sure that hip isn't cracked.

I got my pics up on a Kodak webshare site, and my pics totaled 42mb in size. Needless to say, I couldn't share mine like you shared yours.

Did you drop the resolution to share on MSN groups? In the short term, folks, send me your e-mail address and I can send you the URL for the Kodak site. I added some captions. The resolution is 1800 x 1200. I'm still learning how to share the pics.

Pathfinder's pics were awesome, from the road while riding.

Awesome pics and it sounds like a great time was had by all. (Except for the crashing.) So, what happened anyway?

Dave, I hope you recover quickly. I'm feeling much better, and returned to work today. I'd almost forgotten how noisy working at the airport really is. I liked the captions. Seems like most of us are a bunch of old farts. It looks like most of the bikes are show worthy. Maybe it's just as well I didn't go. Mine would have looked a neglected rat next to those other XS's. Hopefully the spring rally will be a little closer for those of us east of the Brazos. Tyler is nice in the spring. Nothing like piney woods in the spring.
Take care and get better soon. There's still a lot of good riding days left, now that the weather is cooling off.

                        Answers to all

Skippy - What's up, when I uploaded to MSN the first time they were to big, so I deleted all of them and started over and on the upload page there was and option to shrink all of them to the size needed. I did that, being automatic and me being very lazy. The cool thing was it worked. The only thing I don't like about their site is the is no slideshow function. Wish I could ride this weekend but alas SWMBO has spoken. As Willie Nelson said There's more old drunks than there are old doctors. So I stay away from them whenever possible, I wouldn't want to see a Doc for him to tell me I'm not OK. I feel to damn good most of the time.

                        Upright - Thanks

John - Glad to hear your better. Sorry about the noise, I guess it can't be helped. the Piney Woods sounds good to me, count me in.
