  • Sell it or I park on it!

SWMBO has spoken and I have to clean out the garage so some bikes are going. The Honda was easy, it's up for sale in Ontario. The next step was tough but the 78 standard is on the block. I will put a classified together but I am having technical difficulties creating a 400X400 pixel phots that is 25kb or smaller. Anyway, the ad will go up with or without photo tomorrow for a 78 standard with less than 13000 miles on it. Fairing, lockable hardbags and custom seat all in macho maroon. 4 K&N filters, weedbeaters and jet changes gives an ear to ear grin from 4000 to 7000 rpm. I'll ride it to anyone who wants to see it in the lower penisula of Michigan (weather dependant this time of year) and can trailer it that far if a new owner does not want to drive it home.
Now for the tearjerker, I had the star sold. New owner was acutally driving up from OHIO with $$ and a trailer. I dropped the star 30 minutes before meeting up with the guy. That deal died so now mr macho maroon is for sale.
No way is the special going even though I got a standing offer on it.
I have a bike and I am not afraid to use it

I'd get rid of the SWMBO. Or sell the car... it uses much more space than all those bikes.

      Strom,
With a comment like that Santa may not make it over there!! My car already lives on the drive way, but tolerant as my wife is of the hobby she is not parking in the driveway during the winter.
Take care, and take a look at the bike anyway, the ad is posted.

Well, if that 750 Honda wasn't so far away, I might be interested. But Ontario is a mighty long drive from Indiana!

Well, Santa is bringing me a nice motor for the eleven... but I'm a bit far for any of your bikes.
I guess we should both move to some place warm and non-wintery ever.

            Keeping peace in the house

My 2-car garage is a touch cluttered with 3 solo bikes and the XS11 sidecar rig all in there. My buddy in Moosejaw has a 3 foot high shelf in his garage to store his Bantams & Tiger Cubs on with the big bikes underneath so there's room for his car but our bikes are all too heavy for that to be practicable.
My wife is not a harsh taskmaster, I am given options:-
            1) Make garage space for the car in winter.
            2) Go out and start the car every morning all winter before my wife drives it to work.

              3) Install a remote control car-starter, and just push a button!

I grew up in Edmonton and my wife is from Sudbury, we can both appreciate the joy of getting into a car that has been sitting out in that winter weather. I'll ask her if this is an option, but I am not expecting much, thanks for the ideas.

well I made the suggestions and the response was not great. It appears that starting the car is only one thing that is not so much fun. Does anyone know where I can get an automatic snow sweeper and windshield scraper??

Yeah, give the kid next door a few bucks to do it for you.
