I just stumbled across an 81 Midnight. It looked ok and it only has 11k miles. It was at a salvage yard here in Ft. Worth. It wasn't being parted out, and it's not cobbled together. I was told that the #1&2 carbs need some work, as does the rear brake. His asking price is $1000, or $2000 if you want him to do the repairs. He also has 3-4 sets of side covers. They are all of the older type which use the rectangular slotted mounts. He does't have any with the rounded mounts. Cost, $40 for one, $75 for the set. I have no connection with this guy, just passing along the information to you guys. I bought some parts from him years ago, and I thought he was expensive, but his price on the side covers wasn't too far out of line, and a grand for the MNS isn't a bad deal either.
