  • Aww Crap, I'm still cleaning up from Frances

South Florida is not having a good month.

I am waiting for one of those dots of where they predict Ivan to be, to be put on top of my house.

Anybody know how deep of water an XS11 can drive through? I may got the opportunity to test it.

      Ivan

I don't know if I need to get ready for Ivan or not. They keep changing the predictions.

Tomorrow will be day three of removing trees and brush after Frances.

I sure didn't plan on almost $5000 worth of tree removal this month. I hope that the insurance will cover at least a portion of this.

Frances just came through Ohio, Don't know what you guys were whining about. It was a little windy and sprinkled, our normal spring weather is worse than that.

Was that supposed to be a joke. Have you seen everything from downed trees to apartment buildings turned to shreds?

            Here comes Jeanne...

OK, So I got missed by Ivan the first time but he decided to come around a go past my house before running back into the Gulf and getting the northwestern Gulf again.

Now what the hell is going on. I got the Southern end of the eye of Jeanne knocking on my door.

Worst part is I have not been able to ride on the weekend for almost 2 months.

            jeez...

              Hurricane

I feel like I have a target painted on the roof of my house! This is getting old fast.
At least I've managed to sneak in a few rides between the storms.

The weather may be crappy here a lot but we haven't had a huricane here in Oregon since the early 1960's. I remind myself of this every time we get 6 weeks of straight rain during the winter. ;o)

                  lol

I think about it when we get 6 weeks of snow.

Of course, when it is snowing here, you in FL are still able to ride.

I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

                    Survived another one.

Well at least we ddin't take a direct hit from Jeanne. We only lost power for a little more than 24 hours this time.

I hate it for you in Florida-the damage is awful. We got hit by all 3 storms but Ivan was by far the worst. Here in the mountains we had some severe flooding with trees down and no power.People around here pitched in and things are now starting to return to normal but it will be a while before things get back the way they were. Now to get ready for snow and ice storms.Oh well.
