Long Way Home

I'm the new owner of a 1980 Midnight Special. I'm enjoying it immensely. I rode bikes ( mostly dirt ) from the time my age reached double digits until my first child was born. Fast forward twenty years and I bought a bike from a friend to save gas - at least that's my excuse.

Anyway, I rode the bike to the Local Whataburger this morning for breakfast. After my meal, I took the long way home just for the sheer enjoyment of riding. I got to my turnoff and thought why not go a little further. I think that says a lot for motorcycling in general and these bikes in particular that they can make a 44 year old man enjoy driving just for the fun of it. Take care.

That's about the only riding I get to do. I live/work 4 miles apart. I try to do 20 miles each way.
Nothing like the 200+ miles I used to do when I lived ½ a block from work (convience store). After midnight I step outside and whistle and my doberman would jump the fence and hangout with me till 7 am, then he'd chase me home.
