I've got a legal question regarding my credit card company calling my grandmother (who I've never lived with and is in no way involved with any of my financial affairs) and telling her all sorts of things about my account.

bad is good
Your answer is simple, all you need is your credit card, a stamped envelope and a pair of scissors.
If returning the shards of your card accompanied by an angry letter gets you on the credit company's bad boy list that is a good thing. If you cannot borrow money you will have to live within your means and you will not have to make payments. See how the good points of a bad credit rating just keep piling up?

They have no legal reason to call your grandmother and tell her anything about your acount. I had one company call my next door neibour trying to get information about me.Shawn
