    OK

Thanks for asking Bill. All we got here in northeast Florida was rain and some wind gust from Charlie.
Luckily the storm went out to sea quite a bit south of Jacksonville.

Do we have any members from further south in Florida?

      Glad you're okay Walt,

I just heard from J.R.(Tarheel) on the XS11Plus list who lives in Orlando, that they had trees and power lines down all over the place, had to leave and is hold up in a hotel, but they are okay.

New's reports I've seen have it at about 15 fatalaties.

I live just North of Fort Lauderdale. We had worse weather come through the night before Charley came in on the West coast of Florida then when it landed. Some trees and limbs down, but overall, not too bad.

I have two brothers. One lives in the south side of Tampa and the other near Newport News, Virginia. I invited them both to come down here since they have been hit worse by hurricanes lately than the Eastern side of South Florida.

Then again, the season ain't over yet.

I'm in Sarasota, just by the mouth of Tampa Bay where Charley was originally heading up to. Lucky for us, it veerer east just 50 miles south of here.
I flew over the area this week, unbelieveable, You can't fathom the widespread damage by watching it on TV. From the plane, you can really see where it went...
I would have lost my XS850, house and sailboat if it did not turn...
Sad for the guys south of us, I guess it's the price to pay for living here, others have earthquakes, tornadoes, wildfires, blizzards...
