like to find and meet united kingdom members

hi there is there any way of finding out how many members from the united kingdom are on here ,i feel all on my lonesome would be nice to link up with some peeps from over here who are xsessively mad ,ebay is doing my head in ,you see the parts you want,theyre in your price range and shipping is us only ,i have bought loads from the states but the best auctions are us shipping only so would like people over here to help source parts in this country (special models) mines an SF also like to know of xs meetings etc and clubs what have you thanx

hi gaffer,iam up here in sunny southport,i got three xs1100s two 1979s and one 1995,there are a few of us around in the uk you should check out www.xs1100.co.uk and give your details to mike farnworth he runs the site.we have had a couple of meets this year already and i think one more is planned for about the 19 september i think down at the waterman pub in warick,also there was a thread a while ago which i done to see if there was any more of us around and there is,look in the thread history you might be able to see it,let me know what you are looking for i can see if i can find it,it is amazeing what there is about in the states and it is so cheap over there.one main thing is the people on this site are realy top notch,never met so many helpfull people on the internet as these chaps and chapeses.

yer i found that site just after i wrote that ,thanx got to spend some time effort and money getting my bike up together hope to be sorted for next year really now,lookin for braided hoses ,i can get em cheap at m&p,would like some second hand ones really,a fork brace,maybe great big fairing as i want to go round the uk at some time ,need sf seat ,want a goodun,and just bits and bobs really,ive pounded usa ebay ,postage is prob and waiting patiently for sissy bar pegs etyc etc,want tool kit ,yamaha owner rider handbook thingy just xs stuff love it all see you

Yep...we're alive and kicking around here somewhere.

As for meets - you're over in Glos. and there are a couple of local(ish) guys I can think of. Scoobes mentioned Mike Farnworth - I think he's in Wiltshire somewhere and Andy Pugh is off that way too. For my part I'm down here in Surrey - so a little further away.

I mentioned to a couple of riders that there is a good rally in early October that I do every year nr Devises - which could be a good XSive meeting point for a weekend of over-indulgence (bring a warm sleeping bag !).

I won't be travelling too far a-field before then due to a brand new baby daughter 2 weeks ago competely turning plans for riding upside down.

Hope to see some other owners sometime soon too...
