Hi Mitch,
I always hate to hear Bad News. ED I hope you have a speedy recovery, and mends 100%.
If you have Ed's email address, I will gladly Donate $5.00 to his "Repair the XS Fund".
It takes Xsive Balls to continue to ride after crashing a 600-700lb bike into a moose (at 68 years old), Ouch.
I can donate a speedometer from an 81 special (85MPH) to help get the bike back together. Can anyone donate any of the others parts that he needs? Lets all pitch in a make it easier on him to get recovered & riding.Bill Woods

I tried it as soon as I read this thread, but I haven't heard back yet. I imagine he can't type with his injured hands. So... I don't know if it's a current email addy.

The worst thing to read about in these forums is "Biker Down" - I, as I'm sure all of us do, wish him a speedy and full recovery.1979 XS11F Standard - Maya - 1196cc (out of order)

Mitch, I'm sorry to read about Bkr hitting the Moose. Stoopid animals...I wish him a speedy recovery. As you may have read, a very close friend of mine in Maine had a 'mishap' on his bike two weeks ago. I got an e mail from him the other day. He is in good shape, for the shape he's in...He said he's hanging up the leathers after this one though
Ya know it's funny...You go hunting for Deer or Moose, and never see one. You go riding, don't want to see one, and what happens

Moose Hunter
Ah ha, he is alive and well enough to type. This is a good thing. A few more days and it will only hurt if you move. Keep moving, fight the pain, heal fast. Hope your recovery goes fast and complete. Us old birds have to show the yungins how tough we can be. Take care and I hope all works out for you. Putting your bike back together with a cow catcher on the front should be therapeutic.
