Great story. I don't know how many times me, and other truckers banned together to help people out when they're stuck. A quart of oil here, a tank of gas there, a ride to the next town, or even a meal. Of course that's in a truck where you've got the room to take on passengers. It's great to here stuff like that because it lets me ( as well as other people ) know that there are still good people out there that's willin to help and not out just for money.
People would approach me at truck stops asking for money cauz they'er hungry. I very rarelly would give them money, BUT I always offered to buy em a meal. 9 outta 10 times they would turn me down because they wanted the money to buy food But did not want the food that would be bought at the truck stop, But were hungry for food. Didn't jive with me and I ain't payin nobodies habbits. But now and agian some would take me up on the offer and I would but them whatever they wanted on the menue.

it's nice to hear how someone does something for another human being.not to mention the story. not to much of that kind of thing going around these days. i'm going to have to get the books.
