I've got a Canon PowerShot S50. I bought a 512MB card for it. It's a very compact point and shoot type. It feels like it's been carved from one piece of aluminum. Alot of cameras I looked at were very "plasticky" feeling. It's a 5 megapixel camera, but other things can be much more important depending on what you want to do with it. Ignore digital zoom specs, optical zoom is what matters. Some companies are actually making cheap 3+ megapixel cameras with NO ZOOM. Why would you want one? Macro specs are important to me for close up photos of my junky XS parts-your needs may differ. For what it's worth, if your budget is limited, go for "less megapixels" and more zoom/better macro specs. Unless you are going to be doing 8x10s, you won't notice. Ever seen 3 megapixels at once? I haven't! My laptop screen has 2.3 megapixels (1920x1200 resolution) Most cheap LCD computer monitors are 1024x768, which is only about 3/4 megapixel. Anyway, back to work I go....

Just found an interesting site that might be usefull to others. Steve's Digicam has reviews and testing on a lot of digital cameras.
