Home! (Alaska Update)

I'm home...1000 mile run yesterday...I got in late last night.

Once I got within sniffing distance of Dallas I just could not bring myself to camp or get a hotel (warm woman waiting for me here don't'cha'know).

10,158 miles run. One oil change, one new tire, cops, fire-trucks, bears, moose(es), lightning, storms, raging forest fires, half-a-dozen paramedics...you know...the standard stuff.

I had a great time, and I have a LOT of writing to do.

That was a short trip, right?

I am looking forward to hearing the results and maybe seeing a new book come out. Something about the big bad bear that got away.

There seems to be no mention of being in a hospital so I guess it was an uneventful trip to the great northland.

Like many here, I followed your on-the-road posts with considerable interest! I'ld say welcome home, but in some ways wish you were still posting from out there.....

Can't wait to read the rest of your story. Glad you made it back to Texas.
