Did an unintentional 40mph wheelie today

I solved the backfiring on deceleration today. Found out that the piece that was supposed to support the air filter and make it seal was missing. I jammed a piece of cardbord in its place and was off. All I can say is wow, my mid range is rediculous. Was cruising along on a city street today doing about 40 when the passenger in the car to the left starts waving me on. He was motioning for me to gun it. So I did. All of the sudden the engine revved rediculously fast and the front tire lifted about a foot from the ground. Scared as hell I dropped it back down. My XJ would pull a wheelie from a stand still and on the 1-2 shift but never in second while cruising.

Foxjohnc, I believe I may have an extra one of those filter supports. If you want, let me know and I'll check. If I do, I'd let you have it real cheap.
