  • Photobucket now charging a fee!?!?

It's been a long time since I've posted here, but I received an email yesterday that concerns me with regard to this site. All of the pictures that I have ever posted here are hosted on Photobucket. Now, there aren't a lot of them, but there are several. Many of them are posted in multiple threads as answers to people's questions.

The email I received told that photobucket will start charging a fee for hosting as of June 1, 2019, if your account has over 25Mb/month of traffic. Evidently my pictures exceed that limit, so they will end up being blurred and watermarked. I really hope the blurring will allow for people to click on and access the actual pictures, but I'm certainly not going to pay for the service.

Looking back on it, I wish I had hosted the pictures on my own website. There are just way too many posts for me to go through to locate and move the pictures.

    Howdy Marshall
    Great you checked-in
Colorado Rally Durango in July. Can you make it? Would be great to see you there.
Still riding that Wing? Hope so.

Yes, Photobucket kind of ruined things. Charging a fee and now watermarking images if you don't pay. Its been a disaster for this site. So many of us used Photobucket to park our pictures. Trip pics are one thing but the How To Maintenance Pictures are precious. No easy solution.

Yes Marshall, check out the 2019 rally thread! Closer to you than coming all the way to the front range in Colorado. Good to see you post.

I hadn't even pondered going to a rally, but now that I see the invitations, you've got my excitement rising! I need to do some figuring, and see if it might be possible.
