Maybe you were trying to avoid a deer or some other animal that ran out onto the road in front of you. That's a big problem around here, especially this time of year.

I landed on my head a couple of years ago. I have no recollection of the accident. A blessing.

Do the right thing for yourself, Ben. I’m glad you’re going to be OK.

No i doubt it the area had trees but they were all cleared out so I doubt it..I must have lost my attention span and when i realized it I hit the back brakes and left a skid mark on the road..i found the accident site..I was just 4 miles from home...dang it...

Dammit Ben. Ehhh……...you'll change your mind. Glad you're OK.

I was worried I would crash again.

Or your leg hit the brake peddle as you fell off.......

Wow! I know just how you feel.

It’s a risk/reward kind of world. Only you can know the risks that are right for you.
At least you didn’t come around three days later with people showing you pics of your clothing that they cut off you and your helicopter ride!
Hope you feel better soon and figure out that passing out thing...I have a buddy that passes out when he is dehydrated....he never did it on the bike, but one time in his truck while driving...freaked my other buddy out as he was in the passenger seat! Good thing he was there to right the ship.

Garrett.. There is a considerable length of skid marks on the pavement to know that I did not hit the rear brake as i flew off..I still have no memory of why I left an easy right hand curve for the left side of the road...i estimated i was doing 60 mph before i hit the brakes and went flipping over in the ditch.
I am disgusted beyond words..but I am not accepting this as the end...I know i may have said that I was done..initially but that is a normal reaction I have after I wreck..but now I cant see giving this up while i still have a breath to take so this tale is unfinished .....Appreciate your comments and concerns...
BTW the EMS cut up my Olympia AST jacket..nearly a $400 jacket when I bought years ago...and it was left with my bike along with my other personal effcts with the tow truck scrap yard..

I understand. The how did it happen.....messed with me for a while, until I thought I figured it out and put it to rest. With no memory of the event it’s hard to move on. They said I asked what happened three times on the side of the road. Each time they answered I still didn’t comprehend. I have to go along with the no memory no fear thought...at least you’re ok. You can always find a low $ ride. Legs aren’t so easy.

If the 'something else' be the option, I'd seriously have a look/ride with the Yamaha Super Tenere of 2012 or later vintage. Still gots the shaft-drive propelling it and have heard makes for a nice LD ride interstate-wise.
