Thanks Greg...Its looking like a direct hit here..all of Coastal SC is under mandatory evacuation...Only Dare county(outer banks)in NC has declared mandatory evacuations so far..but were gonna see alot of rain here..inland..predictions for 12" are forecasted for my area...we got food and water but prolly not enough..and we have no generator either...NC's powergrid is so weak that it wont take much for us to lose it..it will prolly be off for days too..and the flooding is going to be biblical......

        Hi Ben,
Flooding is a big concern. I know you are inland but are you up the hill rather than down in the valley?

Hey Phil...Not sure ..think were on the hill..but we have not dealt with 10" to 12" of rain which is what is being forecasted for this area...

Hi Ben, On the hill is better than Over the hill
I have never had to deal with 12" of rain at least not all at once.

                  This a.m. latest....
It seems the weather guessers are now saying Florence will deviate from their earlier predictions and shift further south..If so that will greatly lessen the impact to this area...now they are saying maybe 6 - 8 inches of rain and 60 mph winds here...
BUT SE NC and all of SC are still gonna get it badly...they're calling for 30" of rain in SE NC..that area is still recovering from Matthew 2 yrs ago...

                    Hi Ben,
Keep watching and preparing. these damn hurricanes always swing north after hitting land so you are not clear until it is north of you.
