  • XS11 Introduction

    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself; I'm new to the forum, but I've been reading for quite some time. A lot of the information and friendliness I've seen was incredibly helpful in motivating me to buy my first XS11.

I bought a non-running Standard, and I'm in the middle of stripping it down, cleaning it out and building it back up into a cafe/brat (haven't decided which way I want to lean as of yet).

Anyway, thanks for the resources and knowledge you all provide. I look forward to getting to know you all in the future.

    Cheers!

    Welcome!

    Welcome.

We look forward to watching your adventure.

Help is always just a few keystrokes away.

    Pictures are good!

Welcome! I'm in a similar boat as you; I'm new and appreciative of the wealth of information on this site. It's nice to know there are people that can, and will, help out when I get around to working on my bike. I'm still trying to finish the last of my "summer" projects before I start working on my bike; it should be soon now, though.

Thanks everyone. The bike is much like the result of a worst-case Tinder hookup: stripped down naked in the basement.

So, I'm looking forward to the winter time to when I can really crack things open, give it a once-over and fix some of the glaring and obvious issues right away.

First thing on the list is upgrading the fusebox with TC's kit. Placed that order and I'm excited to receive it and get started on that.

TC's kit comes with flag type terminals. You need a special tool for it, but it's only about $20 on ebay. If you just need it for the one time, I can send you mine IF you send it back! I've still got one more XS11 that I'll need it for. PM me and we can work out the details.

Wow, thanks so much DiverRay! I think I'll go ahead and grab one on eBay so I can have it with me in the future, but I super appreciate the offer! Very kind of you.
