I know some of you guys got slammed by Harvey. Here in Austin I faired real well with just a destroyed patio cover. Let me/us know if there is something I/we can do to help.

Well lake conroe was about 4 feet above normal. Had to grab a couple of loose boats and tie them off hopefully their owners look about. Had to pump one out before it sank. Houston and below got clobbered. Back to work today. Believe it or not they actually closed Wal-Mart and McDonald's.

My parents and my brother live in Houston. Luckily, both are in the Northwest where they are faring pretty well. The streets flooded, but it didn't make it up to the houses. My parents are a little fragile, and my brother has 3 young children, so they'd be more likely to need help that offer help if things would have gotten really bad for them. So I really appreciate people like you, aquamantx, for jumping in to help where you can.

We got lucky in conroe North of Houston. Rain was spread over several days and we are North of the dams. Some folks near the rivers were not so lucky. They had to open the floodgates to protect the dam itself. So all You can do is count your blessings and help those less fortunate in these situations

          Indoor swimming pool

I got an 1" of water in the house. Wet carpets and flooring are all ruined. The XJ11 and the cars are okay. I count myself very lucky. Here's the short story; it started raining around 11:00 pm Saturday night, by 2:00 am Sunday and 14" of rain later, the whole neighborhood looked like Venice. FEMA comes tomorrow.
