this site has been so helpful in getting my bike in good condition, that for the last couple years I just get on and ride everyday. i have no questions to ask and let those more knowledgeable answer questions.

I'm new here, so I can't comment on what the site used to be like, but we're talking about a forum dedicated to a bike that was only made for a few years almost 40 years ago. The fact that this site exists at all is pretty amazing. And I've had no trouble at all getting multiple, timely answers to all of my questions.SF / SH Frankenbike- SF - frame, carbs
- SH - engine
- TBD - everything else

I've been a member here since 2007? - 2008? (this is like my 3rd handle for reasons we won't go into)
Not having an EASY way to post pics anymore has affected participation, mine anyway, simply because a picture is worth 1000 words and I'm a 2 finger typer.
The fact that all the pics have VANISHED in the repair, maintenance, and mod forums has taken a HUGE toll.
It's like when the host for XS11.org just quit hosting just as it was getting started and we had to move to another host. Everyone just lost interest and it's pretty much dead now.
That's life, no one gets out alive, not even an old bike forum.
I'm still here and will be until it comes to a standstill. Flatline like .org.81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

I'm still around. Still have the same 2 XS's.
Occasionally ride the E. The LG has been sitting under a cover for several years.
I'mean still driving truck, 3,200 miles each week, so I really don't want to go anywhere on my days off.
Been spending time and money on archery and firearms the last few years.
Moving from CA to AZ next year. Tried giving away my accumulated XS parts but no takers, so quite a bit has gone to the landfill.

For me
I was dealing with one health issue after another, then trying to figure out what I want in my life after a marriage break up. Then of course photo bucket crapped out and took all my restore photo's of the three bikes. Then my computer blew up and I lost all the restoration video's I'd made but hadn't got around to trying to upload them to utube. My middle daughters boyfriend is a tech wizard and maybe able to recover some of them off the hard drive if it isn't dead. I had sparks and smoke coming out of it, and had to throw it out on the lawn to avoid a house fire. I've never seen a computer do that before.mack
