Thanks for the kind words, TC. SWMBO and I made it to a lot of XS rallies over the years, but never did make it to anything east of Colorado or Wyoming. It's not CRS that you don't remember if we ever met in person because we never did.
After all these years, I still take great pride in being able to tell folks how I published the first detailed technical article on-line for doing the 2nd gear fix without having to split the cases. I actually still have the crankcase, gear set, dremel tool, and sawhorses that I used when I wrote the first version of the tip.
Tsunami sold a few weeks ago, and I heard today that the guy who bought it likes it so much he is going to come back and buy Purple Reign also. When it goes, I'll also be passing along that that crankcase and gear set, along with a shed full of spare parts I've accumulated over the years.
Like Motoman said, I have checked out, but I'll never leave!
