  • XS/XJ VINs

I was just reading the thread about NADA values and the discussion turned to VINs and how many Midnights were made. Rather than high jack the thread, I thought I'd start a new one to see what the lowest and highest VINs are on the bikes the collective owns. Might give us all a better idea of how many of each model were really made. And maybe somebody more clever than I am could figure out a way to create a chart/matrix with the models listed where we could simply keep updating the VINs as lower and higher numbers are discovered?? Yes, no, maybe?? Here's what I have:

    '80 LG: 4H3003486
    '81H: 4R1000887
    '82 XJ: 10M005CA004602

Also have an XJ parts bike, will have to check the number on that one.

      OK, here's a start:

From my search on the micapeak registry, there are 11 LG's listed.

      The lowest vin is 460
      The highest vin is 3615

Mine are all in between that range.
