I know, Ben! Believe me... the butt dyno agrees, too.

      Now... imagine this...
The ZX14R and the C14's engines are basically the same...

The C14 uses variable valve timing, smaller TB's, slightly milder cams, secondary flies, and shaft instead of a chain.

The ZX14R is somewhere near 197 RWHP and 150 ft. Lbs torque!
(And weighs 175 lbs less, too.

Of course, that's how it can achieve 200 mph top speed, and 9 second quarter miles, too.

Just amazes me, though, that a few changes made such a power difference between the two engines!

Gotcha on the reflash power #'s. I looked at Steve's stock numbers and he only pulled 91 ft/lbs?

Yours should be putting down 97 ft/lbs by his chart. Definitely the area under the curve at lower RPM is what we are looking for and the flash increases the torque dramatically where most of us ride most of the time. Huge beast of an engine with the reflash regardless.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer... The ZX14r puts out 150 ft/lbs of torque?

Kawasaki claims the larger engined Gen II ZX14R is 122 ft/lbs, crankshaft.

Only torque figure that comes close to that is one I looked up that was using a nitrous system and to make that kind of torque at the rear wheel (146 ft/lbs,) it was also putting down 271 hp. Yes, that would be significantly more than 150 ft/lbs at the crank!

BTW, ZRX carbs have the same spacing as the XS11... http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35462
