It is with heavy heart that it seems that Bill passed on. I have no details other than he had been fighting a chest cold of sorts. I'll report back when I know more. Ride safe

Oh, no. Bill was Special, like his trusty XS1100.

Here are Bill and Don in 2013 when we met for dinner on Steamboat Row in Kentucky, just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati.
I picked up an album for each of them when I was in a record store with my dad. They both liked them, guess which one is Bill's.

I fixed the GodVine link, at least I think it's fixed:-

                  Very saddened by this news.

Thanks Lorax for posting to let us know. Thanks Scott for posting the pic of Bill & Don.

I had been in communication with Bill the past two years about getting to the XSSE Rally. Both times he wasn't feeling well enough to venture out. But he was so very appreciative of his XS Family for reaching to to make a special effort to invite him.

Last XSSE Rally (sept16') I had thought about driving the car up to get him. But didn't. If Bill had been willing I was planning on making the offer to do it this year. Now I'm really bummed out. He would have had a blast.

Now I've got regrets. Looking at some of his Train pics is giving me some solace.

                    Bill,

I am sorry we didn't get one more stop at Al, the Wop's and the "Leaning bar" out in Locke.
We really enjoyed your trips out here. You are my friend.

No more working on the bike. Just a long smooth ride. We will miss you.

Still no word on services as yet. There's apparently an issue in finding the original copy of his will. Once the legal stuff is settled and Amy can make arrangements, she said she'd let me know. I will pass the information on as I get it. I did decide to take in his cat, we figured better the cat lived out its life in a decent home as opposed to some no kill shelter spending it life in a cage. And we also figured it's the least we could do for our friend. Although, I suspect the cats we already have might disagree a bit, but they'll get used to each other soon enough.

                          Lorax

Debbie and I have been taking in cast off cats, kittens and pooches for 37 years.
If you have any questions about the best way to introduce them with the least amount of fuss you can talk to her if you would like. She has been in a Vet office for those 37 years and has seen just about everything and might be able to give you something you can use.

Bills cat is dead ringer for a neutered male cat we had for years. I named him Ronnie after my old boss because he had no balls.

                              The Cat

                              Latexeses,

We've got him pretty integrated into the pride so to speak. he's a pretty chill cat and is by and large getting along with the rest of the cats. the only exception is the little one, she's been the baby of the brood since we got her, just over a year ago and is a little wary around the new guy. she's warming up to him..... slowly. thanks for the offer though, I appreciate it. have a nice day and ride safe
