LOL, the only number that matters is the one the buyer pays.

I have an 80SG in excellent condition that I'll sell to any of you guys for the good condition price. Worth every nickel you pay to me for it.

Come on boys, what you waiting for? You can't get a free barn find and get it to this condition for the "good" price.

Hi, yes I would love to do that approx $1900 price for somebody on the forum. It would go to a good home. I don't know if you saw the thread I started a few weeks ago, I picked up a twin to that SG that has full factory hard bags, top case and a number of other accessories that make it a little better road bike for me. It is the twin in condition and it's not a step backwards at all.

As most of us do, I promised my wife I would sell the old one once I got the new one as long as the new one checked out like I thought it would after riding it for a few weeks.

I'm heading out for a ride today when I get back I can post some more recent pictures that I am using for the Craigslist ad that is running out here currently.

Shoot me a PM with your email and I can send you the pictures that way if you truly are interested.

The picture I just posted is the best picture I've ever taken of the bike. . You can go to the Colorado rally thread and look back a few pages for pictures I took when I rode it last week on a 600 mile trip checking out the rally roads. Still looks awesome, just want to let you know that picture was freshly washed and waxed.

                      NADA Values

Very cool thread. Figured out my '81 XS1100LH is in "very good" to "excellent" condition, so I think it would value around 4K, quite a bit more than I paid for it.
Can anyone confirm?: Yamaha only made 2,500 Midnight Special 1100's in 1981?
I have the lowest serial number I've yet seen, #4w1000103, making it the 103rd LH made that year. So cool. Anyone have a lower serial number? I wonder if #001 still exists....

Yamaha never made any claims of that when they sold them and has never said anything like that after. You hear stories of only 250 made, only 2500 made, etc. You would probably have to do a lot of research and get a lot of "don't quote me on this" information only to discover that you still can't figure out for sure how many were made.

It would be interesting to take a count of how many guys here have one or more midnights.

I had 4 myself, but sold one and now down to only 3!

Hearsay, as it were. We'd have to have an owner in this group with a S.N. above 2500 to confirm that. Anyone care to chime in?
