Think ive just found a stable mate for my XJR1300.
    An 81 Midnight Special.

Needs some lovin, and some International shipping, but apart from the bloody awful seat, it looks like its all there, and the price is right for this part of the world.

Just need to finalise the shipping and customs crap and its mine.

Cant wait. Ive missed my old SG every day since i sold it.
1980 SG. (Sold - waiting on replacement)
2000 XJR1300. The Real modern XS11. Others are just pretenders.

Good find Brian!.......unless the wheels had been changed(doubtful), that makes it an 80MNS not 81.
81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

Yep, also the calipers and forks are 1980, 81's MNS are the type as used on the non-US Sport model.

Of course it is. Not sure why i thought it was an 81, I well know the difference. Pretty pleased with finding it (thanks Kat) but its not here yet. Importing stuff here isnt hugely expensive, but it is diabolically complicated. Gotta get proof of ownership before Anything can happen. Hopefully that wont be a problem but without a pink slip it cant even leave the US.

Hope not Ray. Our border control bio security will go nuts if it does...
