  • "Stuck" for an answer?

    When it just won't budge....there's always this!

    '78 XS1100E (the newest bike I've ever owned)
    '74 CB350F1 (under restoration)
    '72 RT2 MX360 (gone but not forgotten)

    OK call me stupid... What is the flame source? Did you just pour some flammable liquid on top of things and set it a light? Trying to unstick pistons correct? Or get the liners out?

      Wasn't me, I stole it from the honda forum because I love it!!

      It was stuck pistons, all other efforts failed to free them. I think kerosene was used.

      Apparently it works.

        Interesting... Makes sense though, kerosene has some oily properties and along with the heat softened up the crud.

        Will file that one away for future use.
