  • How Hard is it?

I'm hearing guys that are asking for help with their bikes on Facebook saying that it is hard to get on the XS11.com site.

Hey, the young kids now what everything YESTERDAY! Maybe they want to register and ask their questions in five minutes. Some people just move on if it isn't RIGHT NOW. If they want to PLAN a little, they can get on the site and then get some questions answered.
The older software running the site, and all the "bots" that try to hack it are the reason for needing a little more time.

      Hey Mike,

I register new members almost every day...I check the ADMIN email account every day for new applications, and register them that same day, and send them a confirmation email that their account is ready for use. But I WORK during the day, and right now am rather busy with my rebuild, so I only check the email ONCE a day usually in the evening!

The Instructions for contacting ME/ADMIN is in the ANNOUNCEMENT at the top of every forum page where you can see the list of posts/threads. BUT like Ray said, they are using ?Smart Phones?, and our site isn't optimized for them, they need to be using a REAL COMPUTER and Monitor and proper web browser to be able to see the stuff! Also, they need to be able to receive/view emails from Hotmail account, many ISP's filter them as junk/spam, and so they'll not see their confirmation email.

I don't get on Facebook much at all, so if you're are on there, please feel free to post about what they need to do to get registered. But if they can't WAIT a day to receive their registration, then they can just view the site as lurkers.

        Thanks T.C.

I sometimes listen to those XS questions on FB. When I tell them about .com, the normal reply is that "it is too hard to get on the site". I tell them that it would be worth their effort and that I would ask about it. Will gladly pass this along.
