    WELCOME to the Forums, Kevin!

A VIN beginning with 3J6 does indeed indicate a 1980 Special (SG), just as it shows in the signature line below your post.

To post pics here, you must use a 3rd-party photo-hosting site ... many here use Photobucket.

Upload your pics to Photobucket, then Copy/Paste the image code from any uploaded pic into an open line in your post here.

This is the place to learn about your new XS11! Some great folks here who will help you with any problem you may encounter.

We look forward to seeing your Special ...

    We love pics!
    Marco

      WELCOME KEVIN
Great to have you as part of the XSive Community.

btw: I went through Hutchinson in July on my 1,100 mile ride segment on my XS1100 US50 trip from Loogootee, Indiana to the XS Colorado Rally in Canon City. Wanted to ride the great Nifty Fifty across the middle. Good lunch at the Whistle Stop Cafe in Walton. Gas & break stop in Hutchinson. Did hit some real nifty storms though around Emporia but then sunny skies & to a hot ride Newton to Dodge City. Just not accustomed to the way the wind blows out there. Amazing. and I'm still scraping cow poop off my bike from the highway cattle truck spray. yuck! Total trip was 4,353 miles on my 78' E. These bikes got legs so Go Ride. Got some pics in the Ride Report thread & CO rally thread. Likely a CO rally next year so be watching for info about that if you are interested.

We look forward to some pics of your bike. We like Pics ........

Welcome Kevin. There was another XSive that used to live there but he got divorced then married again and moved to Wichita, then divorced again.

Good friend, still in Wichita. I think he's looking for his 3rd ex wife now.

        He rides an FJR1300 now.

          Hi, Kevin!

Welcome to XS Anonymous, there's coffee over there in the back and maybe a donut or two left.

              Wait ...

Donuts? There were donuts in the back?

              Oh, well ...

As you can see, Kevin, some of us are easily amused ...
