  • We don't have an addiction problem

Over the years, it's not unusual to collect extra parts here and there.
John and I seem to have gone the extra step...
Last week, we had things happen that left us with 2 more XSes (including a long desired Midnight that needs lots of TLC)

Final count - 7 XSes (5.5 are running), 4 engines and lots of parts

I think we're done adding... for now
    81 SH Something Special
81 frame, 80 tank and side covers, 79 tail light and carbs, 78 engine, 750 final drive mod, Geezer rec/reg, 140 mains, LH wheels

    79 SF MEAUQABEAUXS
    81SH Nor'eas tah (Old Red)
    80 LG Black Magic
    78 E Standard Practice

    James 3:17

If I can make at least one person smile, or pee their pants a little, or maybe spit out their drink; then my day is not wasted.

    Addiction yes ................
    but sometimes MORE is GOOD.
    Especially with XS11's

As Gary calls "Keepers of Mechanical Art" (i think is his quote)

Good to see these things being collected and stored by people the appreciate these machines.
The operative is "things happen" & "two more" congrats & thanks

Sometimes addictions can keep you out of trouble

      + 3 more non running XS1100's and some KZ's and XJ's.
But like you said as long as there being saved all is good.

          I'm a sucker for a rescue.
A couple of them we bought to help out the PO, a couple we bought for parts and then I found the Midnight.
John has his regular ride and I have mine.
It's nice to have a passion for the bikes that we both share.

Very cool that you are an original owner, Steppenwolf
I was a bit too young but I got one eventually... then another... and another
You have your trains, we have our bikes
          It works

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
