    Music 4 Play list

I need to make a new play list. About 8 hours of music. I will listen to anything really except rap, sugar pop and opera. What's getting peoples feet tapping. We are all around the same age give or take 25 years. I prefer a smooth full sound but I'm not adverse to hard driving stuff either for the motivation. or humour Like this. What's everyone listening to now days?

First off, Tcoop, thanks for the 2 Cellos link, loved it!! Also found the remake of Simon/Garfunkle's Sound of Silence quite moving. Doing rock songs with classical instruments can sound quite good. What I like is also when either rock or JAZZ artists do classical stuff with modern instruments and a jazz interpretation while still staying true to the melody.

Mack....are you just asking folks to suggest SONGS? How much of a music collection do you have, or are you willing to either buy/download or "rip"/save/copy from sites like Youtube?? I have a fair amount of "stuff" that I've converted into MP3's, not sure if you are an AUDIOPHILE snob like Crazy Steve that only will use full CD quality WAV/type files, or if you can accept and use decent high bit rate/quality MP3's, like 192kb/sec or more???

I can burn you a few GB's, like 3 Data DVD's worth of what I have collected SO FAR and send it to you via POST if you actually don't have much of a physical collection of music source material.

I'm into Classic Rock mostly, but also Smooth Jazz, Flamenco Guitar interpretations of classic rock, as well as authentic Spanish classic songs, as well as Nuevo Flamenco type original creation stuff/an artist my wife introduced me to...Otmar Liebert. I also have some nice Jazz instrumental stuff, mostly smooth jazz style, old and new, ie. artists like Herb Alpert, Chuck Mangione, George Benson, Spyro Gyro; one of my favorites=Deodata's jazzy "Also Sprach Zarathrusta"; Vince Guiraldi "Peanuts" soundtrack along with a few of his old trio hits.

Anyway, what I have converted is about 3,000 songs/tracks, and have more I want to convert.

                suggestions

TC, I'm looking for suggestions. My military service has made using wave and flac files a waste. My ears are not what they used to be before explosions and gun fire. I have a lot of music I digitized from my record collection and convert utube stuff for what I don't have .
I'm looking for new artists that I haven't kept up with over the years. Right now I have around 400 gb of mp3 size files. I have a computer that I use as a juke box.

That song sounds really familiar but I can't place it. Ann Murray or somebody similar did it in the late seventies I think. maybe early disco era. Must say though I like it jazzed up.

I have a FM reciever on my phone so I listen to CBC radio 2 during my commute on the yamaha. Great music mix, no commercials (almost) and a news update on the hour and no data charges, perfect!

Funny coincidence, this morning they played Disturbed - Sound of Silence. I hadn't heard of the tune until yesterday when I saw TCOOPs post.

here is another couple nice tunes

                              Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar
