Yeah...a few yrs ago i was on mini school bus transporting deaf kids from the NC school f/t deaf to the GA school...and we hit ATL metro at 5 pm on a Fri..there were baseball games..concerts and some other stuff happening ..along with regular rush hour commuters...and all those connector roads were jammed like a parking lot...even the on and off ramps were solidly crammed with traffic..This area is very unfriendly for motorcyclists...traffic there is worse than NJ/NYC corridor...in fact ATL metro rivals LALast edited by madmax-im; 07-11-2016, 03:12 PM. -
Thanks guys...I'm timing it so that I will pass through ATL metro around 10pm...as long as traffic is free flowing then we're good...barring unforseen events ofc...Leave a comment:

It's Atlanta, it is always miserable to travel through whether by car or plane.Leave a comment:

Friday night traffic won't begin to subside before 1830. Don't plan to get into the metro area before then. Traffic will still be heavy until late.Leave a comment:

Atlanta Metro residents...
I am driving through the Atlanta metro area on Fri evening...i need a general idea when the rush hour congestion will have abated...by 8pm or later? My route through town will start with I-20 to I285 to I 85 south. It will take roughly 8 hours from raleigh area...so i need to time it so that i miss all the congestion...but am concerned about arrival at my destination before 10pm in Peachtree City...any insights and advice is greatly appreciated...
