Nice finish on the house! You know how we all are so make sure you put those little plastic child-proof cover plugs in the electrical outlets too in case!

Having you at the rally to hang out will be really cool! Let us know what day/evening/when you are planning to arrive at the campground. Are you guys going to spend a night?

          Hey, Scott -

Sorry to hear that the LT didn't end up in your stable ...

But, after checking in on the Colorado Rally thread, I see you're headed there ... that's great!

Besides, you know what they say:

            Scott,
Sorry to hear your bike deal fell through, but I'm glad I'm gonna get to hang with ya again at the Co. rally!

It'll be great to see ya again.
Have a good flight, and I'll see ya there soon.

Honestly, I'm still totally bummed out, Bob.

It's the fully-loaded 'bird with all the factory extras, roughly a $18,000 or $19,000 bike on sale for $12,000 and I had already bought it. I had to go back and un-buy it instead of picking up the keys, license, registration and insurance, then watch them take the red "Sold!" tag off the handlebars.

Sorry, bro. I can only imagine...

I remember buying my C14 new. They marked it down about $4k...
That woulda really sucked if that deal had fell through!

But hey... look at it like this...
Maybe another even better deal will come along?

My "out-the-door" price was $13,300. Today, you can get a new one for around $10k!

Guys will buy one new, add a bunch of farkles, and 6 months later turn around and give it away for thousands less than what the bike alone cost new!

I saw one on COG (Concours Owners Group) the other day I couldn't believe was so cheap! A 2014, 3,000 miles, synth oil changes, Michelin PR4GT's, custom seat, exhaust cpu flash, CB windscreen... (about $3k in farkles!) go for $8500.

So... you never know. Maybe an even BETTER deal's just around your next corner?

But... in the meantime... I feel your pain. Sorry, dude.

                      Scott,

As an example, I just saw a 2012 C14 for sale by owner on COG w/ 12k miles and lots of farkles, pristine condition... $7779.

New value, w/ add ons, was around $17k. So, 4 years and $10k savings...

I can't do anything more for this tax year, Bob. Next year I can so I'll look around in December/January when it's cold and no one wants a motorcycle.
