    When i was fairly new to this site, I saw a thread showing a modified Eleven which had the seat-area frame rails cut and edited (or replaced). IIRC, the question was asked "was that just to get the seat as low as possible?" This wasnt a cafe racer build, but whomever worked on the bike was making a switch from the original, be it Special or Standard, seat. Anyone remember the post I'm talking about?

    Yeah it's a pretty blue, but just because you're old is no excuse to buy a bagger. Fortunately I have wrenches.

      Cutting a frame to lower the seat is NOT a good way to go, IMHO. You can go 1" shorter on the rear shocks, and cut some of the foam off the corners of the seat to get almost 2" lower.
